Charles “Chuck” Knight, Jr., 70 of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born July 30, 1946, in Grafton, WV, he was the son of Kenneth and Anna (Davis) Knight, Sr. A 1964 graduate of Mason High School, he married Josephine Purdy on November 21, 1975. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2001. Chuck was employed for the former Sharon Manufacturing in Lambertville, MI for over 30 years. He then worked for Bridgepoint Church (First Baptist Church of Temperance) He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, but most of all, spending time with his family. He was a member of Shelton Park Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving children, Thomas (Melody), Terry (Nancy), Timothy (Rhonda) and Tracy (Kim) Turner, Sheila (Mark) Reikowski, Brenda (Jim) Flores and Travis Knight; sisters, Barbara (Barry) Stauffer, Carolyn (Howard) Brown; daughter-in-law, Nancy Turner; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ted Turner.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday, October 10, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm.
